I was thinking it was time to set up some key bindings so I don't have to click the fiddly little totem buttons when I'm playing a shaman. But first, some back story.

The default behavior is for Shift-1 through Shift-0 and Ctrl-1 through Ctrl-0 to access pet bars and special bars (e.g., pally auras, warrior stances, druid forms). This conflicts with using them as modifiers on macros on your regular action bars, so I rebound mine to Shift-F1 through Shift-F10 and Ctrl-F1 through Ctrl-F10. Since I never used the F-keys to target party members, I rebound F1 through F6 to select the six pages of action bars.

All of this made it seem reasonable and logical to use Alt-F* for the totems. I began to bind.

Earth. *click* Alt-F1. Bound. :)
Fire. *click* Alt-F2. Bound. :)
Air. *click* Alt-F3. Bound. :)
Water. *click*

What happens, in Windows, when you press Alt-F4?

Anyone?

And SHOULDN'T I HAVE REALIZED THIS BECAUSE THAT'S HOW I SHUT DOWN MY ACTIVE PROGRAMS AT THE END OF THE DAY EVERY DAY AT WORK? Not to mention the trade-trolls who answer all the noob "how do I" questions with that.

I just did this to myself, while shifting some key-bindings around. You know, *after* this entry showed up on my droll. *headdesk* You'd think these things would stick...
