It was a beautiful ice sculpture,
A castle with spires and turrets
And finely detailed crenellations
Atop the mighty towers.
The brave pennants made it pretty
When they reflected, with the sunlight,
From the shiny sparkly surface.
It stood, proud, solid, firm,
And looked like safety and protection
And above all reliability.
Spring, that they call joyful,
Came and ended the long cold days
That let it stand so permanent-looking.
Now it's just a puddle, and in some days
It will be a little piece of clouds far away.
